Back here on the homefront the big news remains the economy, and how/if any government programs can revive it. We're still able to muster up a few bucks for a little cinema escape and so far can recommend a couple of the heavily nominated movies -- Slum dog Millionaire and Doubt. I'll try to avoid shoptalk but check out the local press on how many people showed up to be extras in the George Clooney movie to be filmed here, all for $56 a day.
